- Password: stored only as a cryptographic hash. We never store or have access to your plaintext password.

- Preference cookie: stores non-sensitive settings such as display preferences. Persists between sessions.

5. Third-Party Services
We share limited information with the following third-party provider:
- Stripe: processes all subscription payments. When you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details (card number, billing address) directly. We do not store your full payment card information on our servers. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Usage analytics are stored in aggregate, anonymized form and may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service.
- Billing records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with Canadian tax and financial record-keeping requirements.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS).
- Cryptographic hashing of passwords (bcrypt).
